IMP Training & Development were engaged by IPCC in 2010 to deliver a modular management development programme ‘Practical Skills for Managers’ to be delivered to all operational managers within the organisation.

IMP worked with the HR team to design a programme which enables managers to effectively manage their teams in a style which is not only effective but reflects the values and culture of the organisation.

The result is a 9 day modular programme delivered in 3 blocks of 3 days and covers management fundamentals such as management styles, performance management, effective feedback, developing teamwork, leading change, managing conflict and coaching.

The modules are supplemented by action planning and review sessions to ensure actions and learning points are captured and used by attendees.

The programme continues to receive positive feedback from participants and gives them the management tools to manage and develop their teams on a day to day basis

This programme is a significant part of our approach to improving organisational performance. People are our only asset and consequently we support our managers by providing them with the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in managing their teams and work. The feedback from our managers on the programme is consistently high and reflects the trust that we have in IMP to deliver an engaging and effective programme.
